Gardenia's sweet floral fragrance joins natural honey and ripe-fruit notes from the base tea.
The texture is velvety and full, with a clean floral finish that persists after the sip.
Leaf and craft
Leafhopper-bitten tea from Fujian, grown at around 1,100 metres, provides the Oriental Beauty-style oolong base. Withering and repeated shaking precede 60–80% oxidation, fixation and rolling.
The floral scent is added with fresh gardenia blossoms from Fuding. Several rounds of layering, scenting and drying let the finished tea take on their fragrance alongside its own honey and fruit notes.
First brew
Use 7 g per 150 ml at 95°C. Start with 10 seconds and lengthen subsequent infusions gradually.
