A gently flared rim meets a close-fitting lid. The separate saucer gives the bowl a place to rest.
At the tea table
Place the leaves in the bowl, add water and tilt the lid slightly to retain the leaves as you pour into cups.
Rinse away tea residue and dry the bowl and lid separately.
