A closer look
The softly translucent phoenix motif sits against a white porcelain body, outlined by blue edging.
This is a rice-grain zhurenbei, or host's cup. The tapering wall and neat foot keep the profile open and simple.
After the last pour
Use it for an individual serving alongside the other cups at the table. The open shape gives you a clear view of the tea.
Rinse soon after drinking and dry the porcelain carefully before storing.
