Leaf and craft
The tea comes from Fenglin Village in Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, Fujian. The Mei Zhan cultivar is used here for black tea.
Tender buds pass through withering, shaking, oxidation, rolling, drying and refining.
First brew
Use 8 g per 160 ml in a white porcelain gaiwan or teapot, with water at 98–100°C.
Steep for 20–45 seconds, adjusting subsequent rounds to taste.
