The bright orange-yellow liquor is rich but clean. Orchid and osmanthus-like notes develop over the infusions.
Persistent sweetness follows the fresh floral fragrance into the finish.
Leaf and craft
The Dabai cultivar supplies the curled, fine-haired leaves. The tea comes from Nanping, Fujian, with picking in early April.
Withering, pan-firing, rolling and baking shape the finished green tea.
First brew
Use 7 g per 150 ml in a porcelain gaiwan at around 95°C. Begin with 5–8 seconds and extend later infusions gradually.
